Why a Kurilian Bobtail?

All has begun many years ago... Our family always gravitated to miracles and secrets of the Nature and we comprehended these secrets, travelling on the rivers and lakes. It refers to boating. Kayaks, catamarans, guitars, fires and certainly exciting unification with environment natural to the person - the mother- Nature. And how to prolong so short charm … in fact holiday so it is small, it is necessary to come back in city, to be dipped with a head into a vain life of a megacity, etc., etc., what with it it is connected? In our house always lived animals, pets together with us. Always there were dogs, cats, rabbits, even minks. But that that didn't suffice us.

And here we had in the house a lynx. Yes, yes, the present wood wild small lynx-kitten. We have taken it in 3,5 months. When a little groved up (so it, growth with Fox-terrier) we have moved to live in our country house. The house certainly entirely and completely began to belong to our girl. When she has groved up till the size about the good sheep-dog, our friends have ceased to come us. No, she wasn't aggressive to anybody. She even with pleasure played with our and other children. But … all those people were afraid. Were afraid of her steadfast and silent sight. Were afraid her favourite place always was above. She is simply liked to lay on shelfs and therefrom to observe of us. To us it at all didn't stir, we were not afraid of her, and on the contrary very much loved and admired with this clever, fine, graceful animal. It always behaved with advantage and it knew the force, but never tried to direct it against whom that of us. But … there was that should occur. Call of ancestors was heard by it in magnificent with bruches ears and … has begun to miss. We thought so long , weighed all pro and contra, consulted, read a lot of literature, and then have simply listened, that our heart will tell us. And our heart has prompted us, that it is too simple, to take and solve destiny of a free animal which and not against to live near to the person, but its shower reaches for the place, to the relatives, to a wood, there, where full harmony surrounds it, instead of our human vanity. We precisely also grieve on freedom, but we can replace this melancholy with affairs, the hobbies, travel at last. And we have made a decision simply to release on freedom, in a wood. Our country house settles down on the river Volga, there extensive spaces and wood. When there was a river in the winter, she has passed it and has left easy in the wild, wood happiness. Wiht her lynx-step walk up to a taiga wasn't too far … .For a long time still on sew to village conversations that runs a pier here a wild cat went, hide cattle and hens, in fact all thought, that we have dragged little lynx from a wood. Nobody suspected, that this little lynx has been got by us in Situated near Moscow Animal's ferme and this kitten in an open-air cage near to which, it is literally in 50th meters was born settled down studio on tailoring fur coats … .For our lynces rural hens were absolutely not necessary, but it does not mean, that at it born in bondage, there were no hunting instincts.Till now we see it on an example house cats-mousetrap. So hungry nobody remains … Our soul till now heats an idea, that our girl hasn't got in that animal's ferm's studio, hasn't been handed over in a zoo and hasn't remained at us and our whim, and has left to continue road born free.

Certainly we longed, missed and searched, but searched all the same that for that unusual, replacement that-whether. There was an end of 1998. We continued searches, naturally it would be desirable all the same wildness, but remembering the recent history that everyone should be on the place. Has passed time and here we have found that so long searched. All absolutely same, a difference only at a rate of …

in the Early spring of 2000 we have arrived to one of the Moscow's cattery, engaged cultivation of rare breeds of cats including Kurilian bobtails

The door has opened the affable fair-haired girl with the same light name Svetlana.

we've passed in a spacious apartment and began to examine with curiosity numerous sockets, cups and the other letters belonging Champions of given cattery …

- Well here, your miracle, sais Svetlana, and to us was heard, slowly, with feeling of full advantage and with narcissism of itself, has left … really miracle. Another same I while, in the life didn't meet. Red (he was red tigered color) complacency has left to us gently rumbling, majectic step walking on a carpet and is cautious moving his pompon-tails. To kitten was about 4 months, but growth it didn't differ from the average good Siberian!

- well, Frantik, (so kitten called) get acquainted with our visitors! - the cattery owner, Svetlana has called a cat. Widely having placed the high back legs (and I only now have considered, how much its back legs are longer than lobbies), a cat so lazy has turned back in our party and with curiosity has looked at us. - To get acquainted? Please, I can prove to be from the best party! - the sight the cat as though spoke. A share of second …. And the cat has appeared at me in a lap, has lifted to me the red impudent muzzle, has closely looked to me in eyes and … have licked in a cheek!!! Further there was a following: my daughter, Olesya who was a beside (it, by the way, didn't pay to us of any attention since examined, magnificent Persians rolling on a sofa) after a such trick of a cat unfamiliar to us, with surprise has turned the look on the impudent red muzzle specified above. - well, come here,why U such tender? And some people spoke, that kurilians are aggressive enough!? - my daughter has told. Is that, a lie? At these words she's taken red is soft-silky creation on hands.

It is necessary to notice, at my daughter a strong allergy on cat's, as has not allowed to have to us at home a number of many breeds.

But... Has passed about three or more minutes while Frantik in Olesya's hands represented from itself a soft toy, substituted a nose for kisses, kissed her on cheeks ….. And at my daughter it wasn't showed any attributes of an allergy … .Before her morning began with anti-allergical preparations. The cat was not going to leave from us and when Svetlana has born a small basket where some more Kuril miracles laid, Frantik simply again has jumped to me on knees and looking to me in eyes as though asked - Well, look, in fact I am better? And substituting already to me the nose for a kiss, inquired - really you do not see??? I have burst out laughing, and here we three, I'm, my daughter Olesya and Svetlana have unanimously said - Yes, that's our cat. (only Svetlana has told "yours"). After that Frantik important has set in container and we happy have left remarkable cattery. p>... From Svetlana's story … " the red cat and his sister in the age of 2 months from a birth have arrived to our capital, having made travel - island Kunashir - further on a route - Moscow. They have perfectly coped with flight, moreover, when have opened a box-transportation, have seen in it absolutely healthy and pure kittens. Neither traces of overfatigue, nor other discomfiture it was revealed not … they slept ". Natural force of ancestors and steady immunity have prevailed!....

During many years our cat justified the origin and we are very grateful to the owner of this cattery who has opened to us this breed, Kurilian bobtail, has opened to us a surprising cat who in a consequence became the founder of our cattery " Kuril ridge ". On true, miracles of the Kuril ridge yet up to the end are experienced by scientists, but cat lovers, and in particular kurilian lovers, know, in what " the secret of Kuriles " is covered.

I havn't told, how that cattery was referred - "Alexander-Fred", and the remarkable owner - Svetlana Ponomareva. And it has given a cat a nickname - Lucky Frant (in russian it will be - Shastlivchik Frant) in what she wasn't mistaken!

Shastlivchik Frant was some times married, but on the present loved the first wife - very young and charming red-silvery kurilian named Ceran'.
